Ode to Our Lady of Manaoag

For my birthday, I decided to go to Manaoag, Pangasinan to visit the Our Lady. I have been wanting to go here to ask for help for my sister's coming CPA board exam and to give thanks.

2330H 16 March: Off to Manaoag. In fairness, on-time si Manong. We took the Dagupan Bus at New York Cubao. Fare was Php 281 per person.

0330H 17 March: Arrived in front of the church. The church was still closed. Buti nalang may 7-11 sa malapit. May mga nangungulit na tricycle drivers na sasalubong sa iyo pagbaba ng bus, pero okay lang, sila din ang nagturo sa amin na sa 7-11 muna mag-stay.

Church's interiors has a nice "old feel"

After the mass, we strolled at the church ground. I noticed updated and modern ang lahat ng structures, except for the church's interiors. First we went to the Candle gallery. It was nice. They kept the whole church grounds very clean. We were so intrigued that people were going to the second floor, only to find out that we were about to get up close with the Our Lady. It was very solemn. You can see people crying as they were saying their prayers.

We then ate at Chowking just across the street. Went back to the church para magpaalam. Dito kami kinuyog ng mga makukulit na tindera! Anyway, ganun yata talaga :)

At 10 am nag-decide kaming magpatalo sa antok. We took the Dagupan Bus na nasa tabi lang ng Manaoag Town Hall in front of the church.

All in all it was a very nice morning of my birthday. The best gift ever: peace of mind - you'll gain it when you talk to HIM through HER.
